MEETING January 8, 2009
Thursday, January 8 at the site of Caissa SL held a meeting to discuss and organize activities for the year. Below is the account of the meeting:
CAISSE SL, 21 hours
present 18 people including 8 caissiani.
Renato introduce the meeting and made the two questions that will be the topic of discussion for this session:
1 = know how to Caissa SL to a greater number of chess players;
2 = how to increase attendance at the Club
regards the first question the defendants spoke proposing different solutions:
1 = use word of mouth within the circles of belonging, a home invite friends and show the operation of the chess club, where you can use the computer in the same circles, and then assist in chess lessons and games;

= 3 tournaments both in and out (we discussed the possibility of organizing a tournament for the spring touring, where each round of play takes place in a land different and there was also talk of organize a tournament, "International");
4 = search for a contact with foreigners through the land in second life and through chess news,
5 = continue with the lessons, which can be supplemented by thematic game table, so that it may constitute the practical application of what has been explained in the lessons;
= 6 was proposed to send an e-mail the information, explaining Caissa of SL, all chess clubs, but the proposal was amended earlier this action because it did not give results, it was thought, therefore, make contact with the clubs through the material that we can make available, so members of clubs should be more motivated to come and see our blog;
Regarding the second question, how to increase attendance at the club, we were all agreed that at present the rate is not proportional to the number of members, as happens in most of the land. Currently members are Caissa 59, ma la frequenza non supera quasi mai i cinque o sei.
La discussione ha prodotto una serie di idee e di riflessioni:

Per risolvere in parte questo inconveniente, abbiamo cominciato a organizzare una piccola turnazione di presenze, per cui il club può fornire regolarmente assistenza in due giorni la settimana, mercoledì e giovedì sera;

4 = un'altra idea è stata quella di presentare partite a video e di commentarle a voce (una buona idea ma non so se fattibile perché non credo si possa fermare il filmato nei punti in cui serve). In ogni caso si è ritenuto che i filmati possono essere molto utili a trattenere i soci in attesa che arrivino altri (proposta che mi viene in mente mentre sto scrivendo: credo sia molto utile un filmato che spieghi i rudimenti degli scacchi ai novizi)
5 = è stato proposto di creare una biblioteca scacchistica in cui ciascuno porta del materiale. Purtroppo c'è un problema collegato ai diritti di autore, tuttavia, poiché ai fini didattici è concessa la copia di parti delle opere, si potrebbero scanarizzare solo alcune pagine ritenute significative e metterle a disposizione di tutti.
Questo è quanto abbiamo discusso. Poiché ho scritto a memoria può essere che abbia trascurato qualche cosa, ma non credo di aver tralasciato cose importanti.
Le proposte effettuate sono molto concrete e però dobbiamo verificarne l'efficacia. Invito pertanto tutti a una nuova riunione fra tre mesi riproponendoci le stesse domande, così da accertarci di come e quanto siamo riusciti a modificare la situazione attuale.
